SIH Auxiliary

The mission of the Southern Inyo Hospital Auxiliary is to support the hospital through fundraising, publicity, and direct service.  Our membership is composed of local volunteers who find fulfillment in providing assistance to this important community resource.  We focus on raising funds to buy new equipment; in 2006, we purchased $4,338.93 worth of equipment for the hospital, including a new P.A. unit for the Skilled nursing facility, funds for a painting project, bedspreads, blankets, art supplies, and much more.  This year, we have already purchased a new copy machine and electronic blood pressure unit to assist in the day-to-day functioning of the hospital.

In addition to fundraising, we also collect Christmas gifts for Skilled Nursing Facility Residents each year and deliver sacks of Valentine “goodies” in February, assist with the annual Blood Drive, and help with other hospital events.
