Clinic Staff

 

Gayle Frickel, F.N.P.  completed nursing school  at St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in San Francisco, and then moved to Yosemite in 1968.  She came to Lone Pine in 1976, completed her nurse practitioner license through the UC Davis Nurse Practitioner program, and has served southern Inyo County ever since.  She is also a certified nurse-midwife and was voted one of Southern Inyo County’s “Best Doctors” in 2005.

Milton R. Jones, M.D. completed medical school at David Geffin Medical School/UCLA in 1959 and a residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Long Beach in 1963.  He has been in practice in Lone Pine since then, first in a private office and now with the Hospital.  In addition to his work as a physician, he is also well-known for his leadership in the world-renowned Death Valley-Mt. Whitney ultramarathon that takes place each July. 

In addition, the clinic is also served part time by two nurse practitioners, Sylvia Colton, F.N.P. and Norma Kryder, F.N.P. of the Northern Inyo Hospital Rural Health Clinic.
