Laboratory 

The Southern Inyo Hospital Clinical Laboratory is a 24/7 full service clinical laboratory accredited by the Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation and proficiency testing is done through the American Proficiency Institute three times each year.  The lab is easily accessible inside the hospital and is a five minute walk from the clinic, making it a convenient option for same-day testing.  We also have an extremely rapid turn-around time and have recently upgraded much of our equipment, thanks in large part to the Indian Gaming Special Distribution Fund of the Bishop Paiute Tribe.  In the 2005-2006 fiscal year, the Tribe donated $27,662  for the purchase of a new microscope, serofuge, centrifuge, and hematology analyzer, bringing our lab up to the standards of the 21^st century.  We are deeply grateful for their support and the benefits it has allowed us to bring to the Healthcare District community.

Hours: Monday 7 am until 5 pm and Friday 7 am until 1 pm for outpatient specimen collection.  The lab is also on 24-hour call for emergency needs.
