Acute Care, Registered Nurse

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent to (REQUIRED). 
• completion of CNA training program and current certification in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience:

• 2 + years experience in an acute care setting 

Other Qualifications Required:

• Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written forms using the English language. 
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from residents, patients, physicians, peers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 
• Ability to work independently. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.

• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
• Help with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the patient care area.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move patients for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting of patients and objects; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push wheelchairs and stretchers weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to perform basic care tasks.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
